It will bring together professionals from <strong>gaming, regulation, leadership<\/strong>, technology, compliance and finance for a day of networking, knowledge-sharing and professional development. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Announcing the revised date, the board said: &#8220;Women Shaping Gaming 2026 is a special initiative for us and to ensure we deliver the experience we have envisioned, the event has been rescheduled to Friday, 28 August 2026. Thank you for your understanding and continued support. We look forward to welcoming you on Friday, 28 August 2026.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The WCGRB has reopened expressions of interest from individuals wishing to attend the forum, giving prospective <strong>participants <\/strong>another opportunity to apply after the original application period closed on June 5. Attendance will continue to be by invitation following the selection process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The initiative aims to provide a platform for <strong>female professionals<\/strong> to connect, exchange insights and discuss the future of the sector. When launching the event, the WCGRB described it as a space for women &#8220;shaping, influencing and redefining the future of the industry.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The WCGRB has confirmed <a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/africa\/gambling-board-names-grand-slots-executive-first-speaker-for-women-shaping-gaming-2026\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"28711\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Prakashnie Govender, general manager of Grand Slots<\/a> Western Cape and Kingdomslots Durban, as the first speaker for the event. A Chartered Accountant with more than 24 years of gaming industry leadership experience, Govender also mentors professionals through the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) and Women in Gaming Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The WCGRB has also announced <strong>Ayanda Vabaza-Mvandaba<\/strong>, a chartered accountant, entrepreneur and corporate governance expert, as a featured speaker.
