Mozambique.- The Gaming Regulators Africa Forum (GRAF) has announced that the city of Maputo will host its 2026 conference at the Centro de Conferências Joaquim Chissano, with Africa’s gaming regulators set to gather in Mozambique for one of the continent’s leading gaming regulatory events.

The four-day conference, from September 14 to 17, will bring together gaming regulators, policymakers and industry stakeholders from across Africa and beyond to discuss the regulatory priorities shaping the continent’s gambling industry.

GRAF said: “The Centro de Conferências Joaquim Chissano will provide the ideal setting for four days of collaboration, knowledge sharing and regulatory engagement among gaming regulators and industry stakeholders from across Africa and beyond.”

Building on its previously announced agenda, GRAF said the conference will focus on strengthening oversight of the gaming sector, promoting responsible gambling and enhancing player protection. The venue announcement comes as regulators across Africa place greater emphasis on licensing standards, responsible gambling, anti-money laundering controls and cross-border cooperation. Mozambique has also strengthened its position as an emerging regulatory market after recently approving its first dedicated framework for online gambling.

GRAF said accommodation information, including recommended hotels, negotiated rates where applicable and booking details, will be communicated to delegates early next week to assist with their travel arrangements.

GRAF has become one of Africa’s leading regulatory forums, providing a platform for authorities to exchange best practices, address emerging regulatory challenges and strengthen cooperation as the continent’s gaming markets continue to expand.
