The state lottery said the initiative, launched in 2025, allocated 50 PMU’B betting clubs to beneficiaries and recruited 20 electronic ticket clerks (ECDs), helping expand the programme while providing sustainable income opportunities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The figures were announced during LONAB Chairman of the Board Maxime Compaor\u00e9’s visit to PMU’B betting clubs in Bobo-Dioulasso on July 16, where he met beneficiaries operating the outlets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Compaor\u00e9 toured PMU’B clubs in the Sakabi, Bolibana and Sarfalao districts, praising beneficiaries for their commitment, professionalism<\/strong> and sense of responsibility. He said their efforts were contributing to LONAB’s performance and encouraged them to continue building on the programme’s achievements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n LONAB said in a press release: “This initiative has led to the creation of more than 170 direct jobs, thus offering beneficiaries the means to take care of their families with dignity while participating in local economic development.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n LONAB said the visit also reaffirmed its commitment to supporting vulnerable communities <\/strong>through concrete income-generating and job-creating initiatives. Beneficiaries also shared the progress they had made since joining the initiative and outlined their plans to further improve the living conditions of their families. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The lottery added that the programme forms part of its broader commitment to national solidarity and helping families affected by Burkina Faso’s security crisis achieve long-term socio-economic empowerment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The visit forms part of Compaor\u00e9’s wider tour of LONAB’s regional operations.
