A total of 494 players and technical staff across the men\u2019s and women\u2019s leagues will be enrolled in the programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Kenya.- Betting operator betPawa<\/strong> has signed a KSh17.3m (\u20ac115,000) sponsorship agreement with the Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) <\/strong>that will introduce performance-based cash bonuses for players and technical staff during the 2026\/27 National League<\/strong> season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sponsorship will be delivered through betPawa\u2019s Locker Room Bonus (LRB) <\/strong>programme, under which registered players and members of the technical bench from winning teams will receive KSh4,000 (\u20ac27) after every league victory. The payments will be made directly to beneficiaries\u2019 mobile money accounts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The KSh17.3m package includes KSh13.63m (\u20ac90,900) for Locker Room Bonus payments, KSh2.73m (\u20ac18,200) to support KVF operations and KSh1m (\u20ac6,700) in prize money for teams that perform best during the season finals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A total of 494 players and technical staff across the men\u2019s and women\u2019s leagues will be enrolled in the programme after completing registration and verification on the betPawa platform. The operator said both competitions will receive identical bonus payments as part of its commitment to equal rewards for male and female athletes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The KVF National League serves as Kenya\u2019s top domestic volleyball competition, featuring 16 men\u2019s teams and 12 women\u2019s teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

betPawa Kenya country manager Crispus Mogere<\/strong> said the partnership is intended to reward performance while creating more opportunities for players and technical staff and supporting the development of volleyball in Kenya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Welcoming the sponsorship, KVF chairman Charles Nyaberi<\/strong> said it comes at a time when the federation is facing financial challenges. He noted that rewarding teams after every league victory would motivate players, raise competition across the league and encourage clubs to invest more in training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nyaberi added that a stronger domestic league would better prepare athletes for national team duty with the men\u2019s Wafalme Stars and<\/strong>nd the women\u2019s Malkia Strikers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
