Held under the theme \u201cIt is in your hands to make a difference\u201d<\/strong>, the campaign saw employees dedicate 67 minutes to community service in line with the annual Mandela Day tradition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Observed annually on July 18,<\/strong> Mandela Day encourages individuals and organisations to allocate 67 minutes to community service in honour of Nelson Mandela\u2019s legacy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In the Free State, the NLC visited Thuso Day Care Centre for Children with Disabilities<\/strong> in Allanridge, donating food parcels and spending time with the children through recreational activities designed to promote inclusion and social interaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The North West provincial office carried out its programme at Bellevue Itshidilleng Bagodi Organisation<\/strong> in Lombaardslaagte, where staff shared food parcels and assisted with gardening and cleaning to improve the facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In the Eastern Cape, the NLC donated a tumble dryer, adult nappies and stress balls to residents of Ethembeni Old Age Home<\/strong> in NU2, Mdantsane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The KwaZulu-Natal office supported Sibusisowe Child Welfare<\/strong> in Claremont by cleaning the facility, donating food parcels and helping establish a vegetable garden at its early childhood development centre to promote food security and sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In the Northern Cape, the provincial office visited the Northern Cape Council for the Blind<\/strong> in Kimberley, where staff prepared lunch and distributed fruit parcels.
