National Lottery Authority warns unregistered agents they can no longer sell lottery products as “No Sticker, No Sales” campaign enters enforcement phase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Ghana.- Ghana’s National Lottery Authority (NLA) has begun nationwide compliance inspections<\/strong> after the deadline for its mandatory registration exercise for lotto agents and writers expired, marking the start of enforcement under the regulator’s “No Sticker, No Sales” campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a public announcement issued on July 17, the NLA said its Compliance Team had begun inspections to ensure “full compliance” with the registration exercise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The registration programme, which was implemented in partnership with the Concerned Lotto Agents Association (CLAA), was introduced to strengthen oversight of Ghana’s lottery sector, help the public identify authorised sellers<\/strong> and support efforts to combat illegal lottery operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the enforcement campaign, the NLA said all registered agents and writers<\/strong> who have completed the registration process and paid the required fees must prominently display their official compliance stickers on their kiosks or containers so they can be “easily identified” by players and compliance officers.<\/p>\n\n\n

The Authority warned that any unregistered lotto agent or writer “shall not be allowed to sell lotto\/lottery products in Ghana” and will be subject to enforcement <\/strong>action. The campaign is being carried out under the slogan “No Sticker, No Sales.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The enforcement campaign follows a mandatory registration exercise announced by the NLA in March 2026, with registration opening on April 1 for lotto agents and writers operating under NLA-licensed private lotto operators. The Authority initially set a May 31 deadline<\/a> before extending it to June 30<\/a> to give agents and writers additional time to complete the process and obtain their official compliance stickers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
