Each one represents a regulatory assessment, an ownership review, a compliance evaluation and a licensing decision.”

It said its regulatory framework aims to combine clear regulatory standards, meaningful oversight and practical commercial accessibility. The organisation added that the programme is supported by public licence verification, continuing compliance and supervisory reviews, mandatory anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CTF) controls, responsible gaming and player-protection measures, independent testing and certification requirements, and the suspension or termination of licences where regulatory obligations are not met.

Anjouan Gaming also highlighted its independent alternative dispute resolution (ADR) framework, saying licensed operators are required to participate in an impartial process for eligible player disputes. It said its role is to supervise licensees, enforce compliance with the regulatory framework and take action where operators fail to participate in the required dispute resolution process or otherwise breach their licensing obligations.

The regulator said it remained committed to listening, improving and strengthening its licensing regime as the international gaming industry continues to evolve.

   See also:

See also: VeliGames secures Anjouan B2B licence in Union of the Comoros

Growing confidence from the international gaming industry has helped drive the expansion of Anjouan Gaming’s licensing framework.

Anjouan Gaming, the iGaming licensing authority for the Autonomous Island of Anjouan, has issued over 1,650 licenses, with nearly 1,500 active, signaling robust industry confidence in its regulatory framework.
