The Board noted that responsible gaming has becoUganda.- The Uganda National Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board (NLGRB)<\/strong> has announced its participation in a two-day National Mental Health Awareness Camp<\/strong> organised by the Uganda Parliamentary Forum on Mental Health<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The event, held on July 8\u20139, brought together lawmakers, health professionals and key stakeholders to discuss ways to improve mental health awareness and support across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n During the opening session, Hon. Obigah Rose<\/strong>, who chairs the parliamentary forum, welcomed participants and said mental health would receive greater attention during Uganda\u2019s 12th Parliament. She said lawmakers intend to prioritise policies and initiatives that strengthen mental health services and raise awareness nationwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n According to the NLGRB, its involvement in the initiative reflects its ongoing commitment to promoting responsible gaming and supporting public health efforts to reduce gambling-related harm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The regulator said the event provided an opportunity to exchange knowledge with policymakers, healthcare practitioners and civil society organisations while contributing to discussions on mental health challenges affecting Ugandans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Board noted that responsible gaming has become a central component of its regulatory mandate. Alongside licensing and compliance, it has continued to promote safer gambling practices, public education and consumer protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Board said it remains committed to working with public and private stakeholders on initiatives that promote responsible gaming and strengthen awareness of gambling-related risks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\r\n\t\t
