Nerethz Tati, the regulator’s director general, led the field visits, which the ISJ says are part of a drive to tighten on-the-ground supervision of licensed operators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Angola.- Angola’s Gaming Supervision Institute (ISJ)<\/strong>, the country’s gambling regulator, has visited points of sale and gaming intermediaries acting for licensed operators to monitor gaming activities and assess compliance with national gambling legislation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The visits were led by Nerethz Tati<\/strong>, director general of the ISJ, accompanied by Afonso Hermenegildo<\/strong>, head of the supervision and inspection department; Fernando Costa<\/strong>, head of the department of support to the director general; and a technical team from the same department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ISJ said the visits were intended to strengthen engagement with industry participants and to gather feedback from operators to help inform regulatory decisions. It said: “The initiative is part of ISJ’s strategy to intensify monitoring actions on the ground, promoting closer, preventive and targeted oversight to strengthen sector integrity, as well as consumer protection and strict compliance with the legal framework.”<\/p>\n\n\n

The visits also enabled officials to gather information from operators, identify challenges, opportunities and best practices to help inform more effective regulatory decisions and policies, contributing to a more organised, transparent and responsible gambling sector.<\/p>\n\n\n
