LONAGUI joins industry leaders in supporting Guinea’s first National Accounting and Finance Week as the country launches a new professional accounting association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
Guinea.- The National Lottery of Guinea <\/strong>(LONAGUI) has reaffirmed its support for professional development by joining the inaugural National Accounting and Finance Week (SNACOF 2026) as a technical and financial partner. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Held in Conakry on June 30, the first edition of SNACOF brought together chartered accountants, finance professionals, academics, students, institutional partners and private sector representatives to promote excellence, strengthen professional capabilities and support the modernisation of Guinea’s accounting sector<\/strong>, according to Guin\u00e9enews. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The event also marked the launch of the Association of Professional Accountants and Financiers of Guinea (APCG), a new organisation established to promote continuing professional development, networking, ethical standards and good governance across the sector. <\/p>\n\n\n\n As one of the conference’s technical and financial partners<\/strong>, LONAGUI joined organisations including BCEIP, Trust Africa, Thedatax, Noom Hotel and the Order of Chartered Accountants and Chartered Accountants of Guinea in supporting the initiative. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Speaking on behalf of LONAGUI’s director general, Mohamed Baba Sylla, Barry Safiatou Bald\u00e9<\/strong>, the lottery’s head of corporate social responsibility, said that uniting universities, businesses, public institutions, and professionals represented an investment in human capital, a vital component of Guinea’s economic growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Bald\u00e9 said LONAGUI’s mission extends beyond organising lottery games to creating value through responsible governance<\/strong> and contributing to national development. Addressing students, Bald\u00e9 encouraged them to pursue excellence and prepare for the challenges of economic and digital transformation, adding that while numbers measure an organisation’s performance, trust remains the foundation of its long-term success. <\/p>\n\n\n\n LONAGUI also highlighted the participation of human resources director Jacqueline Coker, chief financial and accounting officer Hawa Doucour\u00e9, and Bernard Souar\u00e9, head of the administration and personnel management department, who served as panellists during the conference.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n LONAGUI said: “Our contributors, who spoke as panellists, shared their experiences and expertise on key themes<\/strong>, helping to enrich the debates and inspire the next generation of professionals.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n Following the conference, LONAGUI reaffirmed its commitment to promoting skills development. “Through its commitment, LONAGUI reaffirms its willingness to support initiatives that promote the development of skills and the sharing of knowledge<\/strong> in the service of Guinea,” added LONAGUI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The inaugural conference featured discussions on the transition from university to the workplace, the evolving responsibilities of accounting professionals, the future of accounting in the digital era and pathways to becoming a chartered accountant. Organisers said SNACOF is intended to become an annual platform for reflection, training and networking to advance Guinea’s accounting and finance sector. <\/p>\n\n\n
