LONACI completes a pre-certification audit as it advances its bid for ISO 27001:2022 certification, the international standard for information security management. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

C\u00f4te d’Ivoire.- C\u00f4te d’Ivoire’s National Lottery (LONACI) has moved a step closer to earning ISO 27001 certification after completing a mock audit of its Information Security Management System<\/strong> (ISMS). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exercise took place on June 26 at the lottery operator’s headquarters in Marcory as part of its efforts to strengthen the security of its information systems and align with international best practices<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following an internal audit conducted from April 20 to 24<\/a>, LONACI conducted a mock audit – a practice assessment carried out before an official certification audit – with the support of consultancy firm INOVATEC. The exercise assessed the implementation of corrective actions<\/strong> and recommendations arising from the earlier review, while also evaluating the ISMS for compliance with ISO 27001:2022, the international standard for information security management.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to a LONACI statement, the audit was attended by Dramane Coulibaly<\/strong>, director general, AbdoulKarim Ouattara, deputy director general, members of the executive committee and employees involved in the Information Security Management System.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lottery operator said it will now continue implementing the improvements identified during the mock audit before selecting an accredited certification body to conduct the official certification audit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If awarded, the certification would confirm that LONACI’s Information Security Management System meets internationally recognised requirements for managing information security risks and protecting sensitive data<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
