Kenya.- The Association of Gaming Operators Kenya (AGOK)<\/strong> has outlined progress on responsible gaming, regulatory compliance and industry collaboration at its Q2 2026 members\u2019 meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a statement released after the meeting, held on Saturday, June 27, the association said the engagement brought together members to review developments across the sector, with discussions centred on compliance, business growth, sustainability, responsible gaming and strengthening cooperation among industry stakeholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the key milestones highlighted was the recognition of AGOK\u2019s #ChukuaControl<\/strong> initiative as the Safer Gambling Champion<\/strong> at the Gamble Alert Responsible Gaming Awards 2026<\/strong>. The campaign has been one of the association\u2019s flagship responsible gaming programmes, aimed at promoting safer gambling practices and increasing public awareness of gambling-related risks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Building on that recognition, AGOK announced the launch of the second phase of the digital-first #<\/strong>ChukuaControl campaign. The new phase is expected to expand the campaign\u2019s online reach and reinforce responsible gambling messaging among players through digital platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The association also reported stronger stakeholder advocacy during the quarter, with members adopting several industry resolutions designed to support the sector\u2019s development and engagement with policymakers and regulators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AGOK said member participation in local and regional gaming industry events increased during the quarter. These included the Sports Betting East Africa+ Summit<\/strong> and the iGaming Afrika Summit<\/strong>, both held in Nairobi. The association said the events provided additional opportunities for knowledge sharing and collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, the association noted improvements in compliance readiness among its members, describing the progress as part of broader efforts to strengthen regulatory standards and support sustainable growth within Kenya\u2019s regulated gaming industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AGOK thanked its members, partners, stakeholders and secretariat for their continued support, saying their contributions remain key to advancing responsible gaming and the industry\u2019s long-term development.<\/p>\n\r\n\t\t
