The deal extends SportPesa\u2019s title sponsorship into the fourth year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Betting operator SportPesa has committed KSh34.14m (\u20ac231,253) to the 2026 National Sevens Circuit<\/strong>, more than doubling its contribution to the competition compared with the previous season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The funding agreement, unveiled ahead of the circuit\u2019s July start, marks the fourth consecutive year that SportPesa has supported the Kenyan rugby competition as title sponsor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the operator, KSh6m (\u20ac40,642) of the sponsorship package will be distributed among host clubs, while another KSh6m (\u20ac40,642) will support Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) <\/strong>operations and tournament administration. A further KSh9m (\u20ac60,963) has been allocated to media production, marketing and livestreaming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prize money has also been increased, with KSh4.14m (\u20ac28,043) earmarked for team rewards across the season. Division One men\u2019s winners at each event will receive KSh150,000 (\u20ac1,016), while women\u2019s champions will earn KSh100,000 (\u20ac677). Additional rewards have been set aside for Division Two teams and overall circuit standings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SportPesa marketing executive Willis Ojwang <\/strong>said the funding reflects the company\u2019s commitment to advancing rugby development in Kenya. KRU chairperson Harriet Okatch<\/strong> added that the investment would help clubs stage tournaments and provide a pathway for players seeking national team selection.<\/p>\n\n\n
