South Africa.- The North West Gambling Board (NWGB)<\/strong> has commemorated Youth Month by educating students on responsible gambling, alcohol consumption and consumer rights during an awareness programme held at Orbit TVET College<\/strong> in Brits, North West Province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The initiative was conducted in partnership with entities of the Department of Economic Development, Environment, Conservation and Tourism (DEDECT), as well as the Liquor Regulator and Consumer Affairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Held in the Madibeng Local Municipality, the campaign aimed to equip young people with the knowledge needed to make informed decisions and avoid behaviours that could negatively affect their education, finances and future prospects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n During the programme, the NWGB highlighted the risks associated with irresponsible gambling, including financial hardship, addiction and poor academic performance.
