Botswana.- The Botswana Gambling Authority has secured the top position in the parastatal category at the 30th Northern Trade Fair<\/strong> held at the Business Botswana Showgrounds<\/strong> in Gerald Estate, Francistown<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Announcing the achievement on its social media channels, the regulator said that the award recognised its participation in the event, where it engaged visitors on its services, regulatory activities and responsible gambling initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The 30th edition of the Northern Trade Fair was held from May 27 to 31 under the theme \u201cValue Chain Revolution: From Local Resources to Global Markets.\u201d The event brought together businesses, government entities, regulators and other stakeholders to showcase products, services and investment opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Organisers said the event served as a platform for networking, business development and stakeholder engagement across multiple sectors of the economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n During the fair, the Gambling Authority used its exhibition space to promote responsible gambling and share information on its regulatory mandate. It said attendees visited the stand to learn about gambling regulation in Botswana, access responsible gambling resources and interact with licensed operators participating in the exhibition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The regulator reported visits from senior government officials, including the Minister for State President, Moeti Mohwasa<\/strong>, and the Minister of Trade and Entrepreneurship, Tiroeaone Ntsima<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n
