South Africa.- South African casino operator Vslots<\/strong> has funded a nearly R2m (\u20ac102,000) water infrastructure project in Lufefeni Village, Matatiele<\/strong>, aimed at addressing years of unreliable access to clean water in the rural Eastern Cape community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project, delivered through the Eastern Cape Education Trust<\/strong>, was officially handed over on Thursday, May 28, providing residents with a new water source.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Eastern Cape Gambling Board (ECGB)<\/strong>, which licenses Vslots, the project will benefit a community that has long struggled with limited and inconsistent water supplies. The new infrastructure is expected to improve access to water for households, reduce reliance on alternative collection methods and contribute to better health outcomes and living conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ECGB said the initiative would not only enhance quality of life in Lufefeni Village but also promote dignity, public health and sustainable community development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project forms part of broader social investment efforts linked to South Africa\u2019s regulated gambling sector, where licensed operators support local development through trusts, foundations and other partnership programmes.<\/p>\n\r\n\t\t
