Lottery regulator says Caritas platform ensures promotional campaigns remain \u201cfair, transparent, and credible\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Ghana.- Ghana’s National Lottery Authority<\/strong> (NLA) supervised the final draw of Rana Motors\u2019 \u201cSportage World Cup Promo\u201d in Accra on May 22, as the regulator continued to oversee promotional campaigns and consumer reward schemes in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was handled by the NLA\u2019s Caritas team, which oversees the validation and supervision of promotional draws and consumer reward campaigns run by corporate organisations in Ghana. The promotion formed part of a World Cup-themed campaign by Rana Motors and Kia Ghana<\/strong> linked to the 2026 World Cup. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The draw opened with remarks from Rana Motors chief operating officer Kassem Odaymat before NLA officials carried out validation procedures<\/strong> and emptied raffle bins ahead of the draw. Members of the audience were then invited to take part in selecting winners under NLA supervision, with prizes awarded live at the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a statement, the NLA said the Caritas platform is \u201cmandated to ensure that promotional activities organised by corporate institutions in Ghana are conducted in a fair, transparent, and credible manner<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n

The regulator added that the initiative is designed to protect the interests of the public while maintaining confidence in corporate prize draws<\/strong> and promotional activities. The supervision of the Rana Motors campaign highlights the NLA\u2019s growing role in overseeing promotional competitions and public prize campaigns in Ghana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This follows the authority\u2019s hosting of a delegation from Washington and Lee University<\/a> in the United States earlier in May 2026 for an academic exchange focused on lottery technology and digital operations.<\/p>\n\n\n
