The Betclic owner said strong online casino growth in C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire helped lift gaming revenue to \u20ac433.1m in the first quarter of 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire.- Banijay Group<\/strong> has said C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire<\/strong> is becoming a more important market in its gaming business after reporting 17.3 per cent year-on-year <\/strong>betting and gaming revenue growth to \u20ac433.1m in the first quarter of 2026. The company said the increase was supported by a 20 per cent rise in unique active players across its operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Banijay Gaming\u2019s casino, poker and turf revenue rose 27 per cent in the quarter, making it one of the group\u2019s fastest-growing segments. That performance came shortly after Banijay completed its acquisition of Tipico Group on April 23, a deal that broadened its gaming footprint across regulated markets in Europe and strengthened the scale of its Betclic-led division. Betclic operates sports betting and online casino products in C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire as part of its wider Francophone African expansion <\/strong>strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Banijay\u2019s growing focus on C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire follows the group\u2019s November 2025 announcement that Betclic helped drive 16.4 per cent growth<\/a> in non-France online casino revenue, supported by momentum in C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire and Portugal alongside stronger sportsbook cross-sell activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company said the combination of Betclic and Tipico is expected to strengthen its position in Europe while increasing exposure to regulated African markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
