BetPawa\u2019s bonus scheme delivered one of the biggest financial boosts in recent Nigeria National League history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Nigeria.- betPawa paid out more than \u20a6295m (US$216,000) during the 2025\/26 Nigeria National League season <\/strong>(NNL) as Sporting Lagos emerged champions following the Super 4 finals in Ogun State. The operator said its Locker Room Bonus scheme generated one of the largest financial injections in recent NNL history, rewarding players, coaches, clubs and administrators across the campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Across the league, betPawa distributed over \u20a6287m (US$210,000) through the initiative alone, before end-of-season awards and Super 4 payments pushed the overall total above \u20a6295m (US$216,000). The season\u2019s final awards added another \u20a68.1m, with Sporting Lagos striker Adebayo Oyedele winning the top scorer prize and Yahaya Hussaini named Most Valuable Player.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sporting Lagos striker Adebayo Oyedele secured the Highest Goalscorer award and received \u20a6880,000 (US$647), while Yahaya Hussaini was named the league\u2019s Most Valuable Player.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Former Super Eagles goalkeeper Dele Aiyenugba claimed the Best Goalkeeper <\/strong>award. Coach Paul Offor won Best Coach, while Barnabas Imenger secured the Goal of the Season prize. At club level, Smart City FC received \u20a6400,000 (US$294) after being named Best Behaved Team, while Inter Lagos secured the Best Supporters Club award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sporting Lagos won the Super 4 title on goal difference despite a 1-0 defeat to Inter Lagos on the final day, while Ranchers Bees beat Doma United 3-1 in the other match. Sporting Lagos received an additional payout of more than \u20a62m (US$1,470) through betPawa\u2019s expanded Super 4 package, taking its season total to more than \u20a618m (US$13,225). Inter Lagos and Doma United each received \u20a611.6m (US$8,517). Season statistics reflected the campaign\u2019s intensity, with 223 of 272 matches producing winners <\/strong>and 254 games recording at least one goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Borah Ndanyungu<\/strong>, betPawa\u2019s head of local marketing and CSR, said the initiative reflected the company\u2019s commitment to Nigerian football. \u201cIt was a pleasure for us to launch this Locker Room Bonus Sponsorship in Nigeria and hopefully we can also extend to the women,\u201d said Ndanyungu, according to PM News Nigeria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

betPawa recently announced that its Locker Room Bonus programme<\/a> uses mobile-money technology to deliver instant post-match payments to athletes across African football leagues.<\/p>\n\n\n
