Liberia\u2019s National Lottery Authority has formally presented its agreement with Seven Blue Liberia Limited, moving the regulator closer to launching an online licensing and compliance platform for the gaming sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Liberia.- The National Lottery Authority (NLA) <\/strong>said the strategic partnership agreement, signed on April 2<\/a>, was presented on May 11 at the office of the Board chairman in Monrovia. The project is intended to replace manual processes with a centralised digital system for licensing, regulatory oversight and compliance monitoring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The National Lottery Authority said the initiative forms part of its broader institutional reform agenda focused on governance, revenue monitoring and digital modernisation within the country\u2019s gaming sector. The regulator has recently increased enforcement activity against illegal gambling operations and underage gaming, including nationwide inspections and crackdowns on unauthorised slot machine operators.<\/p>\n\n\n

NLA director general Peter L. Solo<\/strong> said the platform will provide real-time operational data, automated audit trails, integrated compliance monitoring tools and enhanced reporting functions. He added that the system should streamline licensing, improve revenue assurance and strengthen anti-money laundering controls across Liberia\u2019s lottery and gaming sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Solo, the digital platform will also allow the regulator to track operator activities and compliance records more closely, while improving transparency in revenue collection and regulatory supervision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Board chairman Prince Menkalo Gbieu<\/strong> described the agreement as part of the Authority\u2019s effort to align Liberia\u2019s gaming oversight framework with international standards. He also said the partnership supports the Liberian government\u2019s policy of increasing participation by locally owned businesses in national development projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seven Blue Liberia Limited said implementation preparations are already underway. Company representative Rose Siafa Sebo <\/strong>said the digital system is expected to improve compliance management, strengthen monitoring and help reduce illegal gaming activity.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The NLA said the project forms part of wider government efforts to modernise public institutions, strengthen governance and accelerate digital transformation across revenue-generating sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n
