The move forms part of broader efforts to bring regulatory services closer to operators and the public while strengthening <strong>compliance, monitoring, and responsible gaming<\/strong> oversight across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking at the official opening ceremony, Volta Regional Minister Hon. James Gunu said the new office would help <strong>improve oversight<\/strong> and support the GCG\u2019s regulatory efforts within the region. He added that the office would bring the Commission\u2019s <strong>regulatory services <\/strong>closer to operators and the public, enhance compliance, and strengthen monitoring activities within the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gunu also assured the Commission of the Region\u2019s full support in ensuring that gaming activities within the Volta Region are conducted in a safe, lawful, and responsible manner. The Minister further called on <strong>gaming operators and players <\/strong>to adhere to the rules and regulations governing the industry while promoting discipline and accountability, and commended the Commission for the initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ho launch follows the recent <a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/africa\/ghana-gaming-commission-expands-ground-presence-with-new-regional-office\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"24159\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">inauguration of the Commission\u2019s Agona Swedru office<\/a>, part of broader efforts to strengthen regulatory accessibility and oversight across Ghana\u2019s gaming sector.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"554\" src=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2026\/05\/Ghana-2-900x554.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-24410\" srcset=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2026\/05\/Ghana-2-900x554.jpg 900w, https:\/\/focusgn.com\/africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2026\/05\/Ghana-2.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Officials, stakeholders, and community representatives tour the newly inaugurated Gaming Commission of Ghana office in Ho.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Speaking on behalf of Acting Gaming Commissioner Emmanuel Siisi Quainoo, deputy gaming commissioner (Operations) Lamtiig Apanga assured compliant operators of the <strong>GCG\u2019s support<\/strong>, particularly businesses contributing to local employment and operating within regulatory requirements, while encouraging staff of the new office to discharge their duties with professionalism, integrity, and fairness at all times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apanga said: \u201cTo every licensed operator from Keta to Hohoe: if you employ Volta youth, if you pay your business operating permit to the Ho Municipal Assembly, if you follow the rules of the Gaming Commission, then this office is your <strong>business partner<\/strong>. We will not harass you. We will rather help you to grow. Because a lawful business is an asset to the community.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Deputy Gaming Commissioner also reiterated the Commission\u2019s commitment to protecting minors, warning that operators found engaging underage persons would face strict sanctions while authorities continue working with security agencies to <strong>combat criminal activity<\/strong> linked to gaming operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Member of Parliament for Ho Central, Hon.
