The National Lottery of C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire has gathered regional lottery leaders and government officials in Abidjan to mark its 55th anniversary with discussions on digital modernisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire- The National Lottery of C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire (LONACI) has hosted its 55th anniversary celebration in Abidjan, drawing industry stakeholders from across Africa<\/strong> to discuss digital transformation and operational development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event, held at the Sofitel Abidjan Hotel Ivoire, brought together government officials, lottery executives and industry partners. LONACI said: \u201cThis ceremony marks the launch of a series of activities planned to celebrate more than half a century of the institution\u2019s existence.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The gathering included an official ceremony chaired by Mariatou Kon\u00e9, the country\u2019s Minister of State for Portfolio and Public Enterprises. During the proceedings, 19 members of LONACI\u2019s leadership were awarded honorary distinctions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Discussions throughout the event focused on the expansion of online and mobile lottery channels, systems modernisation and the strengthening of payment infrastructure. These themes reflect a wider shift among African state-led lotteries toward digital integration and public\u2013private partnerships. Companies including KGL Group participated in the event, highlighting the growing reliance on private-sector collaboration to scale digital platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The anniversary celebrations are expected to continue with various initiatives<\/a> scheduled to run until June 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n
