The notice applies not only to casinos and gambling houses, but also to bars and shebeens (local informal taverns) that hold gambling licences and are authorised to offer regulated gaming activities on their premises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Board said the directive is intended to ensure gambling levies and fees are paid accurately and on time in line with Namibia\u2019s gaming laws.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The notice, released by the regulator on January 23, references Sections 61 and 62 of the <strong>Gaming and Entertainment Control Act<\/strong>, 2018 (Act No. 13 of 2018), alongside Regulations 25 and 29 of the Gambling and Gambling Activities Regulations, giving the enforcement action a <strong>clear legal foundation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the notice, the regulator stated: \u201cPayment of all outstanding gambling levies and fees should be made from the date of publication of this notice until April 30 2026.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"408\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2026\/04\/NOTICE-NAMIBIAJC-408x600.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23859\" srcset=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2026\/04\/NOTICE-NAMIBIAJC-408x600.jpg 408w, https:\/\/focusgn.com\/africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2026\/04\/NOTICE-NAMIBIAJC.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 408px) 100vw, 408px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The notice further warned: \u201cThereafter non-payment of gambling levies and fees will result in <strong>immediate institution <\/strong>of disciplinary action by the Gambling Board of Namibia and imposition of punitive measures, penalties, suspension or withdrawal of the licence.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Operators are also required to complete and submit <strong>levy remittance forms<\/strong> detailing monthly net income, gambling levies and fees as they fall due, supported by relevant documentation. The Board said all submitted information would be audited for accuracy and completeness, underlining a <strong>broader compliance<\/strong> drive across Namibia\u2019s land-based gambling sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Licence holders may obtain remittance forms directly from the Board\u2019s offices in Windhoek or request them by email, with all responses required within the specified timeframe.
