The <strong>handover <\/strong>took place during Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month and reflects continued investment in disability support, education and local social upliftment beyond core gaming operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vivian Reddy, Founder and Chairman of the Sibaya Community Trust, described the project as \u201ca moment of purpose and hope\u201d, saying the new facility would provide a <strong>dedicated space<\/strong> \u201ccarefully created to support, stimulate and uplift individuals living with cerebral palsy\u201d, according to Press Portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said the Trust believes society should be judged by how it treats its most vulnerable communities. He said: \u201cWe choose compassion. We choose dignity. We choose action.\u201d Reddy added that supporting people living with cerebral palsy was not simply charitable work, but a <strong>broader responsibility<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Strengthening inclusive community care<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Reddy said that the Trust\u2019s four-year R100m <strong>social development <\/strong>commitment with the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Social Development has already supported more than 180 non-profit organisations (NPOs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He praised the Association for its work in restoring dignity, strengthening families and providing specialised care for children, adding that the sensory room handover marked \u201cthe beginning of <strong>greater inclusion<\/strong>, deeper partnerships and sustained investment in the care community\u201d. On behalf of the Trust, Reddy officially handed over the facility, reaffirming its commitment to long-term community support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Musa Radebe, Chairperson of KZN Cerebral Palsy Association, said the sensory room would play a critical role in supporting children with cerebral palsy and other disabilities, helping improve therapy outcomes and day-to-day wellbeing. He also thanked the Trust for its <strong>previous infrastructure support<\/strong>, including the construction of two additional classrooms for the organisation, showing that the partnership extends beyond a single handover project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Social Development Mbali Shinga said the project reflected the importance of collaboration between government, civil society and the <strong>private sector<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cToday is not just about infrastructure. It is about restoring dignity, nurturing potential and creating spaces where every individual, regardless of ability, is seen, valued and empowered,\u201d said Shinga.
