The organisation\u2019s upcoming Mentorship Month initiative in May 2026 will focus on mentorship, leadership development and professional visibility for women<\/strong> working across the sector, as operators, regulators and industry stakeholders continue placing greater attention on diversity and representation in senior roles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The programme will feature leadership workshops, live webinars, mentorship sessions and preparations for Cohort 2 of WiGA\u2019s flagship mentorship programme, building on the organisation\u2019s growing cross-border network <\/strong>of women in gaming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The campaign is being delivered in partnership with Brenda Mabaso<\/strong>, a leadership and mentorship specialist currently completing her PhD thesis on female mentorship. Mabaso also serves as a board member of the Mpumalanga Economic Regulator and is the founder of the Mentorship Academy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Programme highlights include a Mentorship and Leadership Workshop in Kenya, two live webinars featuring guests including Emily Haruko, and a Cohort 1 Spotlight Series designed to showcase the progress and experiences <\/strong>of current participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n WiGA said the initiative is intended to move beyond traditional professional development by creating stronger support systems<\/strong> and clearer leadership pathways for women across Africa\u2019s gaming landscape. \u201cThis is more than a campaign, it\u2019s a movement to ensure women are seen, supported and set up to lead,\u201d the organisation said in its announcement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For WiGA, Mentorship Month is not only about preparing the next cohort of mentees, but also about building stronger professional networks <\/strong>and expanding opportunities for women to move into leadership positions across the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n RSVP access for the sessions will be shared exclusively with members of the WiGA community, reinforcing the programme\u2019s focus on community-building <\/strong>and long-term professional growth.
