Morocco.- Morocco\u2019s expanding digital infrastructure<\/strong> could unlock new momentum for mobile sports betting, as faster, more reliable networks enable live streaming, real-time wagering<\/strong> and richer digital gaming experiences in a market where millions of players already participate in sports wagering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Comba Telecom and SCOMM, a Moroccan telecom systems integrator specialising in network deployment and connectivity infrastructure, have signed a memorandum of understanding to support improved wireless connectivity<\/strong> in Morocco as the country prepares for future 5G deployment under the Digital Morocco 2030 strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The agreement will see the two companies collaborate on deploying advanced in-building wireless solutions designed to enhance connectivity across high-traffic<\/strong> venues. The initiative focuses on improving indoor mobile coverage in locations such as shopping malls, hotels, airports, office complexes and stadiums – environments where reliable high-capacity networks are increasingly important as mobile services such as livestreaming, gaming and real-time sports betting<\/strong> continue to grow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Morocco is accelerating its digital transformation under Digital Morocco 2030, a national strategy<\/strong> aimed at expanding digital infrastructure and improving connectivity across the country as it prepares for future 5G deployment – developments that could also support the evolution of mobile betting platforms<\/strong> and live wagering services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the partnership centres on network infrastructure<\/strong>, stronger connectivity could also support Morocco\u2019s wider digital entertainment ecosystem, where stable high-speed networks are vital for livestreaming and real-time interactive services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Betting market growth<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Industry reports indicate that Morocco already has a sizeable betting audience<\/strong>. Survey research indicates that around 29 per cent of adults participate in sports betting, highlighting the scale of the country\u2019s wagering market. Market analysis also projects that Morocco\u2019s sports betting segment could generate approximately $172m in revenue<\/strong>, reflecting growing demand for wagering products as digital platforms expand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Morocco\u2019s regulated sports betting market is overseen by La Marocaine des Jeux et des Sports, the state-backed operator responsible for sports wagering and lottery products<\/strong> distributed through a nationwide network of retail outlets and digital platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis strategic partnership <\/strong>with SCOMM marks a key milestone in Comba\u2019s commitment to empowering Africa\u2019s digital infrastructure,\u201d said Rayan Hamze, General Manager for the Middle East and Africa at Comba Telecom. \u201cAs Morocco\u2019s telecom market continues to grow, this partnership will help address indoor connectivity challenges across residential, commercial and industrial <\/strong>environments.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the partnership, Comba Telecom will deploy its ComFlex MAX distributed antenna system technology, designed to enhance indoor wireless coverage <\/strong>and improve network performance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
