South Africa.- An event organised by the Golden Triangle Chamber of Commerce<\/strong> (GTCOC), in partnership with Emerald Casino Tsogo Sun<\/strong> and the Rotary Club of Vanderbijlpark<\/strong>, has broken three Guinness World Records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event, Rocking the Vaal,<\/strong> is an annual celebration that showcases vibrant culture, music and charitable giving. This year’s edition took place at Emerald Casino Tsogo Sun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The festival drew a crowd of over 7,500 people<\/strong>, including about 272 employees and students from North-West University (NWU). The NWU also showed support by installing eleven exhibition stalls at the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The highlight of Rocking the Vaal 2025 was the three Guinness World Records achieved through the collective efforts of the attendees. They include the longest serving of kebab meat,<\/strong> stretching three kilometres, the largest pot of maise porridge<\/strong>, weighing 2,334 kilograms, and the record for most people breaking bread<\/strong>, with 607 participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All proceeds from the event were channelled to local charities to fund initiatives like feeding programs, educational support and other development projects in the Vaal Triangle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event also donated 10,000 plates of food<\/strong> to charity, demonstrating its commitment to social responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sponsors were recognised for their contributions, which made the festival a success. While the occasion underscores Emerald Casino’s investment in community development, it also serves as a key driver of customer engagement and business growth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The festival gives the Tsogo Sun subsidiary a prime opportunity to attract new patrons, promote its services, generate foot traffic and ultimately increase revenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
