Revenue is estimated to have risen from approximately CFA185m (\u20ac282k) in 2024 to CFA221.5m (\u20ac338k) in 2025, with projections indicating the sector could reach around CFA315m (\u20ac480k) by 2031<\/strong> if current growth trends continue, according to market research cited in an IGT report. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The report added: \u201cIndustry estimates suggest Gabon\u2019s gambling sector could generate around CFA240m in revenue in 2026, driven largely by demand for sports betting. If current trends continue, the market could expand to approximately CFA315m by 2031 as regulatory reforms and growing participation support long-term development.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Sports betting remains the dominant segment<\/strong> of the gambling market in Gabon, accounting for roughly 55 per cent of wagering activity, according to the research. Lottery products represent around 30 per cent, while casino gaming accounts for approximately 15 per cent of the sector. Football <\/strong>betting continues to drive much of the activity, with bettors showing strong interest in major international competitions such as the English Premier League and the UEFA Champions League.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Retail betting infrastructure also remains an important part of the market. Wagering activity is largely conducted through physical outlets and kiosks operated by Pari Mutuel Urbain Gabonais (PMUG), which provide players with access to sports betting and international<\/strong> horse-race wagering products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n PMUG\u2019s network of betting shops and kiosks allows players to participate in pari-mutuel wagering pools linked to international horse-racing<\/strong> events while also placing sports bets at retail locations across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Much of the country\u2019s gambling activity is concentrated in urban centres<\/strong> such as Libreville and Port-Gentil, reflecting the concentration of retail betting outlets and wagering demand in Gabon\u2019s largest cities, according to the research. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The research also suggests that the number of people participating in gambling activities in Gabon could reach around 340,000 players<\/strong> by 2026, indicating growing engagement with betting products across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Separately, industry analysis cited by the research platform Gambling Databases suggests Gabon\u2019s igaming market could exceed $40m (\u20ac36.8m) in revenue, with annual growth of between 12 and 15 per cent projected through 2030 as internet access and mobile payment systems continue to expand.<\/p>\n\n\nRetail betting network<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
