Operators will receive a certificate of approval if the content meets the required standards and guidelines.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, KFCB warns media companies from publishing or broadcasting ads without its classification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The KFCB&#8217;s mandate to regulate audio-visual content, including advertisements, is grounded in the <strong>Films and Stage Plays Act (Cap 222)<\/strong> of the Laws of Kenya. Through the new rules, the watchdog aims to protect the public, especially minors, from harmful gambling advertisements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This initiative aligns with the government&#8217;s push for responsible gambling and reducing its adverse socioeconomic effects. The effort has seen the <strong>Betting Control and Licensing Board<\/strong> (BCLB) <a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/africa\/kenya-suspends-all-gambling-ads-for-30-days\">ban gambling ads<\/a> for 30 days.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/africa\/bclb-forms-taskforce-to-enforce-responsible-gambling\">multi-agency task force<\/a> has also been established to develop comprehensive policies and enforcement mechanisms.
