Uganda.- The National Lottery and Gaming Regulatory Board (NLGRB)<\/strong> has met with the Online Media Publishers Association (OMPA)<\/strong> to expand cooperation on public awareness and regulation of the gaming sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The engagement focused on strengthening messaging around both land-based and online gaming, with an emphasis on responsible gaming, public education and coordinated communication strategies across platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Adrine Otunga<\/strong>, the NLGRB\u2019s Legal Manager, the collaboration is aimed at improving responsible gaming policy and public perception across all channels. She said: \u201cWe are strengthening our partnership with OMPA to not only drive positive mindset change but also to collaboratively shape and enhance policies that support responsible gaming across all platforms.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

OMPA President Gilespies<\/strong> said the association is ready to support content development and public communication on responsible gaming, including innovative approaches to engaging audiences. He stated: \u201cWe will prepare proposals in line with the Board\u2019s mandate and ensure the public receives accurate and relevant information.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This collaboration reflects ongoing efforts in Uganda\u2019s gaming sector to align regulatory communication with digital media platforms, ensuring consistent messaging on licensing, compliance and responsible participation in gaming activities. It also highlights the role of media organisations in shaping public understanding of gaming rules and promoting accurate reporting on regulatory developments.<\/p>\n\n\n
