Nigeria.- A panel session conducted on the second day of the African Gaming Expo 2026<\/strong> examined how predictive tools and operational practices can improve responsible gaming efforts across African and international markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sponsored by verification platform Sumsub<\/strong>, the panel discussed the topic of \u201cResponsible Gaming and Predictive Tools for Problem Gambling Prevention\u201d<\/strong>. The session was moderated by Fisayo Oke<\/strong>, CEO of GambleAlert, a Nigeria-based gambling charity, and featured participation from Cleveland Allen<\/strong>, CEO of the Casino Gaming Commission of Jamaica and Londani Mathavhane<\/strong>, Senior Manager for Compliance at the Limpopo Gambling Board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other speakers included Olabimpe Akingba<\/strong>, Head of Responsible Gaming at PawaTech, and Erastus Johannes<\/strong>, Acting CEO of the Gambling Board of Namibia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The panellists outlined current approaches being used in their respective markets to detect and address problem gambling, emphasising behavioural analytics as a key tool for monitoring player activity and identifying early warning signs. They noted that combining data-driven tools with human oversight allows operators to intervene more effectively and tailor responsible gaming measures to individual player behaviour.<\/p>\n\n\n

Allen said Jamaica\u2019s framework is built on three pillars: player protection, internal compliance systems and community-level interventions. He stated that combining these elements allows regulators and operators to address risks at both individual and societal levels.<\/p>\n
