Regulator and local government intensify crackdown on illegal gambling in the country to strengthen the regulated market. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Angola.- Angola\u2019s national gambling regulator<\/strong>, the Institute of Games Supervision (ISJ), has engaged municipal authorities<\/strong> to strengthen the country\u2019s regulated gaming sector, following a coordination meeting in Luanda aimed at tackling illegal gambling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting focused on strengthening institutional cooperation and aligning enforcement <\/strong>strategies as authorities<\/strong> step up efforts to tackle illegal gambling, address associated risks and build confidence in Angola\u2019s regulated gaming sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ISJ said: \u201cThe initiative forms part of broader efforts <\/strong>to reinforce monitoring mechanisms within the gaming sector, with a view to mitigating the risks <\/strong>associated with the illicit practice of gaming activity.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

ISJ was represented by Deputy General Director Cl\u00e1udio Paulo<\/strong>, accompanied by senior members of the institute. The session was attended by a senior municipal official responsible for the financial and budgetary portfolio, alongside other government<\/strong> representatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ISJ reaffirmed its commitment to preserving the integrity <\/strong>of Angola\u2019s gaming sector, as regulators continue efforts against illegal operators. Officials also highlighted the importance of protecting vulnerable communities<\/strong>, safeguarding public health and advancing responsible gambling standards.<\/p>\n\n\n
