WiGA, founded in September 2023 by industry executive <strong>Lois Bright<\/strong>, was established to connect and support women working across the continent\u2019s <strong>gaming and betting sector <\/strong>through mentorship, networking and <strong>leadership<\/strong> opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a message shared to mark the <strong>global <\/strong>observance, WiGA referenced this year\u2019s International Women\u2019s Day theme, \u201cGive to Gain,\u201d emphasising the importance of <strong>collaboration<\/strong> and knowledge sharing within the industry. The organisation said its members are based in more than 21 African countries, including Kenya, South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana and Botswana, highlighting the <strong>pan-continental reach<\/strong> of its growing <strong>professional network<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The organisation said: \u201cIn just a short time, WiGA has grown to over 850 members across 21 countries &#8211; a <strong>network<\/strong> of women (and allies) who are each contributing in their own <strong>unique <\/strong>way to the <strong>growth <\/strong>and future of the African gaming industry.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mentorship and leadership<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The group noted that its members represent a <strong>wide range<\/strong> of roles across the sector, including professionals mentoring others, individuals developing their careers and <strong>leaders<\/strong> running companies within the gaming industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the organisation, the \u201cGive to Gain\u201d theme highlights the importance of creating <strong>opportunities<\/strong> for others across the industry. \u201cProgress happens when we give &#8211; our time, our knowledge, our support and our belief in one another.
