Uganda.- The National Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board (NLGRB)<\/strong> has sent a joint IT delegation to Ljubljana, Slovenia<\/strong>, to undertake technical training on the National Central Electronic Monitoring System (NCEMS)<\/strong>, a platform used to supervise gaming activities across Uganda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The delegation includes information technology specialists from the regulator and the National Information Technology Authority-Uganda (NITA-U)<\/strong>. The programme covers the operational and technical management of the electronic monitoring infrastructure used in the country\u2019s regulated gaming sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the regulator, the training provides practical instruction on how the monitoring system functions, its architecture, system integrations and daily operational processes. The sessions involve the team working alongside a consultant who delivers technical demonstrations and guidance on how to deploy and manage the platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The NCEMS is a key component of Uganda\u2019s gambling regulatory framework, enabling the NLGRB to track gaming transactions and machine activity through a centralised system. The platform enhances oversight of betting operations that previously depended on operator reporting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Slovenia training programme supports ongoing measures to strengthen regulatory systems and improve the monitoring of licensed gambling operators nationwide.
