{"id":18997,"date":"2026-02-26T12:26:58","date_gmt":"2026-02-26T15:26:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/africa\/?p=18997"},"modified":"2026-04-19T08:28:54","modified_gmt":"2026-04-19T11:28:54","slug":"gaming-tech-summit-africa-2026-set-for-june-in-nairobi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/africa\/gaming-tech-summit-africa-2026-set-for-june-in-nairobi","title":{"rendered":"Gaming Tech Summit Africa 2026 set for June in Nairobi"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Scheduled sessions at the summit will allow established operators and emerging innovators to showcase solutions, build partnerships and explore investment opportunities in African markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Kenya.- The third edition of the <strong>Gaming Tech Summit Africa (GTSA)<\/strong> will be held <strong>from June 2 to 4, 2026<\/strong>, at the <strong>Argyle Grand Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya<\/strong>, under the theme \u201cBuilding Africa\u2019s Sustainable &amp; Scalable Gaming Tech Industry\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event will feature policy dialogues, roundtables and working sessions on licensing variations, tax differences, compliance challenges and regulatory gaps affecting operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to organisers, GTSA provides a neutral environment for stakeholders to move beyond broad discussions towards concrete solutions. <strong>David Moshi<\/strong>, a Member of the Organising Committee, said the summit aims to give industry leaders a platform to promote responsible and sustainable growth through regulatory coherence, stronger oversight and cross-border collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Scheduled sessions at the summit will allow established operators and emerging innovators to showcase solutions, build partnerships and explore investment opportunities in African markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Previous editions have built a strong track record, beginning with the inaugural event in <strong>June 2024<\/strong> at <strong>Nairobi\u2019s Safari Park Hotel<\/strong>, which brought together stakeholders from <strong>more than 15 countries <\/strong>to discuss AI integration, blockchain, fraud prevention and regulatory alignment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>2025 edition<\/strong>, held <strong>June 2\u20136<\/strong>, drew <strong>more than 600 attendees<\/strong>, featured <strong>50+ speakers<\/strong> and included <strong>more than 25 African regulators<\/strong>, with discussions on responsible gaming, payment innovation, customer protection and policy coordination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The summit comes as Africa\u2019s gaming sector continues to expand rapidly. Recent data show the market reached <strong>more than $1.8bn in 2024<\/strong>, up <strong>12.4\u202fper cent<\/strong> year-on-year, six times the global average, driven largely by mobile access.
