Kenya.- Esports standout Harry Kappa<\/strong> has made history by signing a professional contract <\/strong>beyond Kenyan borders, joining Moroccan side Renaissance Club Athletic\u202fZemamra in the elite eBotola League<\/strong>. The move places him in one of Africa\u2019s few fully professional esports<\/strong> competitions and marks the first time a Kenyan has landed such a deal at this level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 20\u2011year\u2011old’s journey to Morocco<\/strong> reflects years of dedication and competitive success<\/strong> on regional stages. Kappa said: \u201cNow I am focused on giving my best at the biggest stage and announcing not only myself but my nation <\/strong>to the world. I thank my talent <\/strong>management agency, IndexG Esports, and the Esports Kenya Federation<\/strong> because they made this possible.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The signing is a historic <\/strong>moment for Kenyan esports, showing that local players<\/strong> can now take their talents to established professional leagues abroad and compete at higher levels<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lusigi added that appreciation has to be given to their sponsors, 82 Sports<\/strong>, whose contribution to the game has enabled this milestone<\/strong> to be achieved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before capturing this professional opportunity, the gamer built a reputation through national and regional Electronic Arts FIFA competitions (EAFC)<\/strong>. He has represented Kenya in international <\/strong>events across Saudi Arabia, Rwanda and South Africa, and previously played for Kenyan outfits such as eHub Gamers, Horizon Esports and Plug N Play Esports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
