South Africa.- In a continued effort to strengthen regulatory oversight and operational excellence within the provincial gambling industry, the North West Gambling Board<\/strong> <\/strong>(NWGB)<\/strong> has convened its management and senior officials for a three-day intensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)<\/strong> training session at Royal Aloe Lodge<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The programme, held on Wednesday, February 11<\/strong>, was attended by senior leadership including the Acting Chief Executive Officer and executive managers. It is designed to standardise internal procedures, strengthen transparency and accountability and ensure full alignment with legislative and policy frameworks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SOPs form the backbone of sound regulatory practice by providing clear, consistent guidance for key functions such as licensing decisions, compliance inspections, enforcement actions and administrative procedures. By investing in capacity building, the NWGB aims to ensure that its regulatory framework remains robust and responsive to changes in the gambling landscape, including technological advancements and evolving business models in casinos, bookmakers and other licensed operators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
