Zambia.- Zambia<\/strong> is drawing renewed attention to its land-based casino regulations<\/strong> in 2026 following the republication of the Casino Act online by the Zambia Legal Information Institute (ZambiaLII). The move underscores the strict rules<\/strong> governing Zambia\u2019s land-based casinos and delivers a clear warning to operators<\/strong> to comply or face serious penalties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As 2026 began, Zambia put renewed regulatory focus<\/strong> on the Casino Act (Chapter\u202f157)<\/strong> of 1992, underscoring its role as the backbone of land-based casino oversight. Its online visibility<\/strong> through ZambiaLII – the public platform for statutes and court rulings – signals tough enforcement<\/strong> expectations for operators and investors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the Act, all casino operations must be licensed.
