The second edition of the programme highlights Bet9ja Foundation\u2019s commitment to education and youth empowerment across Nigeria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Nigeria.- The Bet9ja Foundation<\/strong> awarded full tuition scholarships <\/strong>to more than 200 undergraduate students<\/strong> from public tertiary institutions across Nigeria, marking the second edition<\/strong> of the programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The awards ceremony was held in Lagos on January 10, 2026, after recipients were chosen through a competitive, merit-based process<\/strong>. Students had applied for the scholarship from October 14 to November 30, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Undergraduate Scholarship Programme is part of the betting leader’s broader initiatives<\/strong> to improve lives in Nigeria through education, youth <\/strong>empowerment, community<\/strong> development, healthcare and sports <\/strong>development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ada Cuomo<\/strong>, Executive Director of the Bet9ja Foundation, highlighted the betting company’s commitment to expanding educational opportunities<\/strong> for Nigerian students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis scholarship represents our belief in education as a powerful driver of national progress<\/strong>. We are investing in students who have demonstrated excellence <\/strong>and resilience and who will go on to shape the future of Nigeria,\u201d said Cuomo, according to Business Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Impact and growth<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

By covering full tuition fees, the programme removes financial barriers<\/strong> for students, allowing them to focus entirely on their education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first edition of the programme, held in 2024, supported 100 students<\/strong> in 2025, making this year\u2019s awards more than double<\/strong> the number of beneficiaries. \u201cGrowing from 100 scholars to over 200 in just our second edition shows our commitment <\/strong>to doing more and reaching further\u201d, added Cuomo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the scholarship recipients said the award is \u201ca strong motivation <\/strong>to keep striving for excellence,\u201d highlighting the confidence <\/strong>and focus that the financial support provides to students. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Foundation has indicated plans to grow the initiative further and explore partnerships with organisations that share its commitment to education.<\/p>\n\n\n
