She highlighted the pervasive nature of GBV, citing statistics showing that a significant proportion of women in Botswana experience abuse in their lifetime, and stressed the urgency of cross-sectoral action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The dialogue fostered interactive discussions on workplace safety, support systems for survivors and the broader legal and social frameworks being developed to address GBV in Botswana. Closing remarks were delivered by <strong>Tshepang Magang<\/strong>, acting CFO of the Authority, who lauded the organisation\u2019s efforts as part of a shared national initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Gambling Authority has been expanding its social engagement beyond regulatory duties, notably through responsible gambling campaigns and staff training on harassment and respectful workplaces. Recent internal workshops have focused on identifying harassment, encouraging respectful conduct, and equipping employees with the tools to create supportive environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The GBV awareness session aligns with nationwide efforts by government ministries, civil society organisations and international partners to enhance capacity, support survivors and reinforce preventative strategies.
