The Association of Gaming Operators -Kenya (AGOK) unveils cutting-edge player protection tools and throws weight behind sweeping reforms to tackle gambling addiction in Kenya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Kenya.- Kenya’s betting industry is about to look a lot different and safer. In a powerful move to address the growing concerns about gambling addiction, particularly among the youth, the Association of Gaming Operators – Kenya (AGOK)<\/strong> has announced a major rollout of responsible gambling tools<\/strong> set to reshape the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AGOK revealed a suite of new player protection<\/strong> features aimed at encouraging healthy gaming habits. These include time-out options, betting and deposit limits, real-time behavioural alerts and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“These tools are designed to help players manage their gaming habits in a healthy and controlled way,” the association told Capital News.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We are committed to building a safer and more accountable gaming environment.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other responsible gambling tools<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

But AGOK isn’t stopping there. The association’s blueprint for a responsible gaming future also includes self-exclusion mechanisms, robust age-verification systems and 24\/7 toll-free support for those struggling with addiction or mental health issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s all part of a wider push to professionalise and humanise the betting space, backed by AGOK’s vocal support of the proposed Gambling Control Bill<\/strong>. This landmark piece of legislation aims to introduce tighter consumer protection laws, including the establishment of a national self-exclusion register<\/strong>, something AGOK sees as essential for long-term industry reform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Partnering with regulators, civil society groups and other stakeholders, AGOK is also investing in education. Nationwide awareness campaigns and policy-shaping forums are on the agenda, with a focus on equipping the public with knowledge and reshaping perceptions around gambling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
