Regulator highlights skills development and community engagement by hosting vocational graduates in Tlokweng.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Botswana.- In a move highlighting its commitment to community <\/strong>development, the Gambling Authority<\/strong> (GA) of Botswana<\/strong> hosted the Woo International<\/strong> Graduation, celebrating students who completed training <\/strong>in Tailoring, Boilermaking, Maintenance and Electrical Installation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The graduation was held in partnership<\/strong> with Woo International, a vocational <\/strong>academy based in Tlokweng that offers training in practical skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was attended by the Member of Parliament<\/strong> for Tlokweng, Phenyo Segokgo, and featured a keynote address from Moruntshi Kemorwale<\/strong>, Acting CEO of the GA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hosting aligns with GA\u2019s commitment to corporate social responsibility<\/strong> (CSR) and community development, which includes supporting initiatives <\/strong>aimed at skills training and vocational development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Authority\u2019s commitment to community development goes far beyond hosting events like the graduation. The Authority also partnered with licensed operators, including BetXplosion<\/strong>, to direct part of their revenue toward youth<\/strong>, education, sports and health projects<\/strong> in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The GA also rolled out the nationwide Motshameko O Phepha<\/strong> campaign, reaching communities across Botswana with educational resources, a 24-hour toll-free helpline and tools to promote responsible gambling<\/strong>. These initiatives showcase GA\u2019s active investment in social welfare<\/strong> and public education, proving it is more than just a gambling regulator<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n
