The T\u00e9moin (hosting baton) was handed over to Niger by the <strong>Togolese National Lottery<\/strong> (LONATO) after the successful 2025 edition in Togo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>2025<\/strong> edition ran from October 6 to a grand draw on November 28, offering prizes ranging from small sums to a major jackpot of <strong>FCFA20m<\/strong> (\u20ac30,500). Following the draw, the T\u00e9moin was officially accepted by the <strong>National Lottery of Niger<\/strong> (LONANI), setting the stage for the country to lead in 2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>TCE&#8217;s 30th edition brought together national lotteries from the Member States of the Council of the Entente &#8211; Benin, Burkina Faso, C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire, Niger and Togo &#8211; in a <strong>regional <\/strong>lottery initiative combining draws and<strong> social\u2011impact<\/strong> funding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The TCE combined national draws in each member country with a grand regional draw, allowing winners to compete first <strong>locally<\/strong>, then regionally. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Jackpot and social impact combined<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For 2025, TCE placed a major emphasis on social projects. An African Gambit report said: \u201cTogo\u2019s National Lottery funded<strong> youth<\/strong> and <strong>women<\/strong> entrepreneurs through TCE\u202f2025. It combined a top jackpot with <strong>funding<\/strong> for community\u2011development projects.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Togo dedicated FCFA125m (\u20ac190,500) to a <strong>medico\u2011social centre <\/strong>at the University of Kara, demonstrating how lottery revenues are linked to social projects. The report added: \u201cEach year, the host country <strong>benefits <\/strong>from a social project offered by the combined national lotteries.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For 2026, the social project will <strong>benefit<\/strong> Niger. Hosting the TCE gives the country a unique regional <strong>spotlight<\/strong>, attracting participation from all member states and directing <strong>proceeds<\/strong> into education, healthcare and community services. It also reinforces regional cooperation, showcasing the power of coordinated governance among West African lotteries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While ticket prices, prize structures and the launch date for TCE 2026 are yet to be announced, <strong>anticipation<\/strong> is high.
