The Kaduna and Bida derbies, part of the Horse Racing Federation of Nigeria (HRFN) calendar, were among the highlights of the season.

The National Sports Commission (NSC) promoted the “sports weekend economy” model, encouraging weekend sporting events, including horse racing, to boost economic activity and create sports-related jobs.
