Malawi\u2019s first major gaming and tech expo brings together esports athletes, game developers and industry innovators to showcase talent and boost the digital economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Malawi.- The Malawian gaming and technology scene is set for a historic moment as CyberExpoX 2025<\/strong>, the country\u2019s first-ever gaming and technology<\/strong> expo, is scheduled for November 29 at the Alliance Fran\u00e7aise in Blantyre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Organised by the Malawi Freedom Network<\/strong>, the event aims to showcase the growing digital entertainment and esports<\/strong> sectors in Malawi, providing a platform<\/strong> for gamers, developers and technology enthusiasts to connect and collaborate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CyberExpoX 2025 will feature video game exhibition<\/strong> matches in popular titles such as Tekken and EA FC, alongside cosplay competitions and interactive gaming experiences. A dedicated developer showcase<\/strong> will highlight Malawian talent<\/strong>, offering game developers the opportunity to present their creations to investors, industry stakeholders and the wider gaming community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gwenyth Matimbe<\/strong>, popularly known as \u201cGwyn Stacy\u201d and one of Malawi\u2019s leading esports athletes, emphasised inclusivity<\/strong> at the expo, where she will appear as a guest panelist. \u201cGirls will never know until they actually try. As intimidating as it may be, the community<\/strong> is small, which makes it feel like a family, and it is welcoming,\u201d she said, according to the Malawi Freedom Network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boosting game developers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

CyberExpoX 2025 also aims to support <\/strong>Malawian game developers. Robert Cheuluka<\/strong>, Vice President of the Esports Association of Malawi (ESAM), said: \u201cMaking a video game is not easy, it needs a lot of resources. This event can help video game developers attract investors<\/strong> that might have the required resources.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to organisers, CyberExpoX 2025 is more than just an entertainment event – it is intended to boost Malawi\u2019s digital economy<\/strong>, promote innovation and create networking<\/strong> opportunities for aspiring game developers and tech entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
