South Africa.- Sun International\u2019s Boardwalk Hotel & Casino<\/strong> has been voted as the Favourite Local Hotel<\/strong> in The Bay\u2019s Finest 2025 Readers\u2019 Choice Awards<\/strong>. The award was determined by a public poll conducted by local newspaper PE Express<\/strong>, which saw residents cast their votes online and in print earlier this year. The achievement marks a second consecutive win for Boardwalk Hotel & Casino<\/strong> after also topping the list in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The property, located in Summerstrand, Gqeberha<\/strong>, features 140 rooms<\/strong> and a range of entertainment options, such as the casino, which offers a variety of slot machines and table games, a spa and a heated pool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the Readers\u2019 Choice award, the establishment\u2019s International Convention Centre also recently received the Premier Conference & Events Venue Award<\/strong> at the inaugural Eastern Cape Tourism Awards<\/strong>, held on September 27, 2025, <\/strong>at Mentors Country Estate in Jeffreys Bay<\/strong>. The Centre boasts 3,000 square metres <\/strong>of meeting space on the beachfront, perfectly suited for hosting conferences, exhibitions and corporate functions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Eastern Cape Gambling Board (EGCB)<\/strong>, which regulates Boardwalk Hotel & Casino<\/strong>, has acknowledged both achievements. The board noted in a public message: \u201cCongratulations to our licensee, Boardwalk Hotel & Casino, on their double win. We\u2019re proud to celebrate this outstanding achievement in hospitality and excellence.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
