Ghana.- Ghanaian football fans now have the chance to turn a small stake into the ultimate prize by witnessing the FIFA World Cup 2026 live. The National Lottery Authority (NLA) and gaming company Rambell, in partnership with the Ghana Football Association (GFA), launched the “World Cup Bonanza” on November 4, a nationwide lottery-style raffle designed to give 220 lucky participants an unforgettable fan experience.

The promotion officially kicked off at the GFA headquarters in Accra, combining the excitement of lottery gaming with the thrill of football. The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, making this a historic tournament and a huge opportunity for fans to experience world-class football live.

Fans can participate by dialling the USSD code 899899# and paying GHC20 (€2) to enter for a chance to win flights, free accommodation, match tickets for Ghana’s games and visa application support.

Speaking at the launch, GFA President Kurt Okraku emphasised the initiative’s importance in connecting the national team with its supporters. “This is the second time after we failed to qualify in 2018, and we are back to where we belong in world football. In partnership with Rambell and NLA, we have the opportunity to go to the World Cup with the fans,” he said.

Okraku added that the partnership allows fans to experience the tournament alongside the players. “This partnership means a lot to us, and we don’t want the fans to be left behind. I want a situation where the players sing the national anthem and the players will feel the presence of the fans.”

NLA transparency and oversight

NLA Director-General Mohammed Abdul Salam emphasised transparency in the gaming process, assuring participants that the raffle is fully supervised.

He said: “We at the NLA are committed to providing transparency, and we are in to ensure whatever we say, we deliver. We believe that Ghanaians who participate in this game will provide the needed transparency.” Abdul Salam encouraged Ghanaians to take part in the raffle.

Rambell’s Rockson Kondey highlighted the accessibility and excitement of the raffle, saying that for “just GHC20” , Ghanaians could enter for a chance to be among the 220 fans flown to the World Cup.

The World Cup Bonanza shows how lottery and gaming operators create excitement with minimal risk. For a small stake, fans can win flights, tickets, accommodation and a live World Cup experience, with NLA and Rambell setting a benchmark for transparent and regulated promotions.
