Kenya.- African game developers<\/strong> are invited to compete for the Best Impact Game in Africa Award<\/strong>, recognising titles that tackle real-world social issues<\/strong>, organised by Games for Change Africa and Africa Games Week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The award is sponsored by Xsolla<\/strong>, a global company that provides business and payment solutions for the video game industry<\/strong>. It aims to highlight African talent<\/strong> and the growing influence of socially conscious gaming on the continent, with submissions closing on November 7 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The competition is expected to attract entries from developers<\/strong> across Africa, with countries<\/strong> such as Kenya, South Africa, Nigeria, Egypt and Ghana likely to feature prominently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Organisers said: \u201cThe Best Impact Game in Africa Award celebrates games that do more than entertain<\/strong> – it recognises the power of African developers to drive positive change<\/strong> through interactive storytelling,\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shortlisted applicants will be notified by November 14, with winners announced during the Africa Games Week awards ceremony on December 4. The award is open to any game published after 1 January 2024 by an African studio<\/strong>, team or solo developer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
