C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire.- A player has won 35,598,800 FCFA<\/strong> (\u20ac54,300) from a 300 FCFA <\/strong>(\u20ac0.46) bet placed on the Loterie Nationale de C\u00f4te d’Ivoire (LONACI) PMU horse race programme<\/strong>. The winner, who asked to remain unnamed, made the wager during a Nationale 1 race at PMU ALR<\/strong>. He chose the “FIFTH in order” option<\/strong>, correctly naming the exact finishing order of the top five horses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cheque was presented at LONACI headquarters in Marcory<\/strong> by Cheick Oumar Diarra<\/strong>, Director of Marketing and Customer Experience, on behalf of the General Manager, Dramane<\/strong> Coulibaly<\/strong>. During the handover ceremony, Diarra underscored LONACI’s dual commitment to making gaming rewarding and safer for its customers. He said: “LONACI continues to innovate and reward its players. Every day, we strive to make gaming both entertaining and accessible. After all, we all have a good reason to play.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The win is part of a series of enhanced prize pools launched by LONACI in late 2024<\/strong>, with more than 75 million FCFA<\/strong> (\u20ac114,500) distributed across recent races. The operator paid out 288 billion FCFA<\/strong> (\u20ac439m) in total winnings in 2024<\/strong>, generating tax revenue that supports vital public projects including schools and healthcare facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n
