The session on October 22 was led by NLA Director General<strong> Mohammed Abdul-Salam<\/strong> and LMC Chairman Francis Opoku.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A NLA press release said: \u201cAbdul-Salam highlighted that one of the major <strong>challenges<\/strong> of the Authority is clamping down on activities of <strong>unregistered lotto operators<\/strong>. The introduction of new identification stickers and other strategies would help manage the situation effectively.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The executives also addressed a range of <strong>operational<\/strong> and<strong> financial matters<\/strong>, including contracts with <strong>KGL<\/strong>, a private technology company partnered with the NLA that manages digital lottery operations. KGL\u2019s agreements were a central focus in discussions on enhancing transparency and efficiency, alongside contracts with third-party collaborators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The meeting also covered the <strong>LMCs\u2019 Stabilisation Fund<\/strong> &#8211; a reserve to maintain operational stability &#8211; and their Legacy Debt, which covers outstanding obligations from past operations. Abdul-Salam said that matters concerning contracts, the Stabilisation Fund and Legacy Debt are subject to<strong> Board decisions<\/strong> and appropriate procedural processes, and would be reviewed to ensure mutual benefit for all stakeholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"798\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2025\/10\/GHANA-PIC-2-798x600.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11737\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">NLA\u2019s Director General Mohammed Abdul-Salam engaged with executives of the Lotto Marketing Companies to strengthen oversight and modernise lottery operations. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Operational <strong>modernisation<\/strong> was another key topic.
